What is SSC CGL examination?
SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) examination is conducted annually by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) of India for the recruitment of Grade “B” and “C” category posts in various Central Government Ministries, Departments and Offices. The SSC CGL examination is held in 4 phases or Tiers (Tier 1, 2 3 and 4). While Tier 1 and 2 are online, Tier 3 and 4 are offline exams (For details on each Tier click here). The entire process of registration and communication happens online through the official website of SSC. Candidates must qualify for each stage of the SSC CGL exam to proceed to the next one, before being finally selected. Candidates appearing in the SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) examination can choose from the following Job profiles.- Assistants in Ministries/Departments, Attached and Subordinate office of the Govt. of India.
- Inspectors of Central Excise & Customs.
- Inspectors of Income Tax.
- Preventive Officers in Customs.
- Examiner in Customs.
- Sub-Inspectors in Central Bureau of Narcotics & CBI.
- Assistant Enforcement Officer in Directorate of Enforcement, Department of Revenue.
- Divisional Accountant, Jr. Accountant, Auditor & UDCs in various offices of Govt. of India.
- Auditor Offices under C&AG, CGDA, CGA & others.

Eligibility :
Candidates who wish to appear in the SSC CGL examination need to fulfill the following four important criteria. 1. Citizenship: The candidate must be a citizen of India. 2. Age Limit :The age limit for different posts under the SSC CGL is a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 32 years. 3. Educational Qualification:
A bachelor’s degree in any discipline (science, commerce, arts, engineering, etc) is sufficient to appear in the SSC CGL examination. If you are applying for the post of Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/Preventive Officer), Sub-Inspector in CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) and Sub-Inspector in NIA (National Investigation Agency), you need to meet certain physical fitness standards as mandated by the SSC.

Frequently Asked Questions
The SSC CGL course is normally for four to five months in which we complete 100% syllabus of both Tier 1 and Tier 2 including higher mathematics (Trigonometry, Algebra and advance Geometry). After completion of the course you can continue attending revision batch, current affairs classes, general awareness classes, paper discussion classes, etc., for a period of one year.
We recommend attending a normal batch (i.e. four months) for through understanding of all concepts. However, if you don’t have sufficient time before the SSC examination, we can put you in a crash course that will be over in a period of two months. For students taking the SSC for the first time, we strongly recommend that you study and prepare for one full year with us and then take your examination so that you clear it in the first attempt itself.
More than 60% of our students clear the SSC CGL in the first attempt. We work in small batches with focus on each and every student.
