CA Foundation Examination - Complete Information

 What is CA ?

A Chartered Accountant (CA) is a person who is accepted as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) after having passed the Final examination of the Chartered Accountancy course conducted by the institute.

Chartered Accountants are professionals who have specialised knowledge and skills in accounting, auditing and taxation. They also serve as financial consultants to public and private corporations. The services of a CA are required in financial matters even for small businesses and self-employed individuals. Moreover, statutory law under the Company Act mandates that only practicing CAs are allowed to be appointed as auditors of companies in India.

How many Levels are there in the CA Course ?

The CA course has three levels CA-Foundation (earlier called CA-CPT), CA-Intermediate (earlier called IPCC) and CA-Final. Students can appear in the CA-Foundation examination after completing their 12th standard (PUC-II). Graduate students can directly appear in the CA-Intermediate examination. At Competition Forum we provide a platform where you get end-to-end support for becoming a Chartered Accountant.
